The EMP renamed in Seattle, Jesse Tam. The EMP (Experience Music Project) Board is changing the name to MoPOP which refers to as the Museum of Pop Culture. “This new naming captures the evolution of the wide set of experiences the museum has come to offer,” Allen said.
Attendance has increased 26% from 2014 and 2015 with more students and youth. The name will expand the experience from music projects to include vibrant arts and culture fostering creativity and artists in the community.
The museum also has hosted all sorts of exhibits, “World of Wearable Art”, “Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds”, “We Are 12: Seattle Seahawks and the Road to Victory, and “Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses”.
