It’s that time of year in July when Seattle is buzzing with Seafair week, local farmer’s market and festivals around town. Jesse Tam, the cruise ships have returned and visitors are strolling the waterfront and Pike Place market. Our summer temperatures are comfortable and fantastic this time of year compared to the massive heat wave along the east coast, mid-west and southern states. This year’s All Star baseball held in Seattle was a “Big Hit” filled with week long activities for locals and out of town visitors. What an amazing way to bring players and families to our host city and show case the Pacific Northwest.
Weekends are filled with neighborhood parades for all ages, music in the park venues scheduled in various nearby cities, events at the Seattle Center and more. It’s also campaigning time for many candidates in local cities, King County, school districts, etc. Make time this summer and venture out to other cities and learn about what’s happening in the area. There will be many things and interest from car shows, outdoor music, movie in the park and hiking trails to discover.
